Blue, the chemin de l'Arc,
On
the 14th August 1906, Cézanne wrote to his son:
"I
am waiting for 4 o'clock. The car is coming to pick me up
and will take me down to the river, to the Pont des Trois
Sautets. It is cooler down there, yesterday it was quite
blissful. I started on a watercolour like the ones I used
to do in Fontainebleau, it seems brighter to me. The main
thing is to get things to blend as much as possible.
