"Here, hold this hair, this cheek, it's delicate, here these eyes, this nose, it's painted… and in a good painting, as I dream of, it has to be just a whole. We can't make the difference from the drawing to the color ; while we're painting, we're drawing, the more the color spreads, the more the drawing becomes clear.
